So, after reviewing the basic idea of google caffiene ( that it basically causes the spiders to index big sites FASTER ) it is clear that on-page optimization will once again become more important. Let me explain, when a spider indexes a large amount of your website content you control a mass of quality hyperlinks within that content. Because on page optimization allows for complete control over achor text, keyword proximity, and any other factors that contribute to high relevance links, you may leverage internal links to a greater degree than before, simply because the spider will be indexing content faster. That being said, there is talk about google caffiene being partial to recency of content, so the ‘freshness’ of content will become increasingly important.
